First and foremost before we get into the steps of becoming a "Rap Star", Lets first say that you have to be you. No matter what just be you.

Step 1 - Learn to write poems. Learn a little bit about different types of Poetry and get used to reciting poems in the mirror. Then move on to poetry reading and recite on stage to get used to performing in front of people.

Step 2 - After doing Step 1 for a week. Start trying to memorize some of your poetry, Just recite them into the air every chance you get. This what we call freestyling (Now this is something you have to be able to do)

Step 3 - Gather your inner confidence. Your confidence and swagger will push you along. It gives the audience the feeling of they should follow you, follow your world and want to be around you.

Step 4 - Understand the Hip Hop culture. Get to know your history. Get to know why, what and who is hip hop and the major players are now and then. Because without knowing your past there is no present.

Step 5 - Practice, practice and more practice. Write alot stay in tuned with the culture. Submerge yourself into the rap world. One great website you can use is www.allhiphop.com It will keep you in tune with the culture.

Step 6 - Learn the art of writing your rhymes in Bars. 1, 2, 3, 4 - 1, 2, 3, 4. Every fourth word has to Rhyme. After a while you can learn to do this in different tempos fast, slow and mid.

Step 7 - Now once you've mastered step 6 you have to find a quality studio. Now you don't need to have a high priced studio but it has to have the essentials. A microphone, booth, sound board, a computer with pro tools and a engineer that half way knows what he's doing.

Step 8 - Join soundclick.com and you'll be able to network with up and coming producers. Use the beats to get your practice and learn how to make songs.

Step 9 - Make a mixtape and sell it every where and anywhere you can. Join different websites and promote it. You need to get the word out about you and what your doing. Make up a website and use that to promote yourself.

Step 10 - Once you get to this step you are a "Rap Star". Now lets go!!!!!
